Call for Submissions: College of Fellows Centennial Fund for Graduates of Architecture and Interns/Intern Architects

The College of Fellows (COF) Centennial Fund for Interns or Intern Architects was created in 2007 with donations received from members of the College of Fellows and members of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) to support a deserving Intern or Intern Architect or group of Interns/Intern Architects wishing to promote the value and image of the profession. The terms of reference were revised in 2024 to extend the eligibility of grants awarded by the COF Centennial Fund to graduates of an accredited Canadian school of architecture, graduates of the RAIC Syllabus program, and interns/Intern Architects.

Two grants of $5,000 each will be awarded annually. The grants will be presented to the recipients at the annual RAIC Conference on Architecture. The costs of travel and one night’s hotel accommodation will be provided from the fund to enable the recipients to attend. If a grant is awarded to a group, the costs of travel and accommodation will be provided for only one representative of the group.

Who can apply?

  • Any RAIC member who is a recent graduate of an accredited Canadian school of architecture
  • Any RAIC member who is a recent graduate of the RAIC Syllabus program
  • Any RAIC member who is an Intern or Intern Architect registered with a provincial/territorial association at the time of the submission deadline

A team, at least half of which are recent graduates of an accredited Canadian school of architecture, recent graduates of the RAIC Syllabus program, interns who are members of the RAIC, or both graduates and interns, can submit a collective candidacy and proposal.
